Vintage Sheets

In my endless browsing of Etsy I recently discovered an idea that caught my eye! Vintage bed sheets as fabric. What a gorgeous idea! There are a number of Etsy shops selling vintage sheets by the yard or you can purchase a charm pack or a fat quarter bundle in varying colours & patterns for super cheap! (think a pack of 10 fat quarters for a measly $20)
All the sheets are 100% vintage & are thoroughly washed, heat treated & inspected before selling. Some people may bulk at the idea of using vintage sheets, but I think the fabric could have an old story to tell & there is something special about very old fabrics being being used again in a fresh way. Plus don't forget the soft cottony goodness of a very old sheet!

    This is a great idea - good for the environmentally conscious AND they are beautiful and cheap.
